Catalunya
El "Diada de l'Onze de Setembre" es el
nombre de la fiesta oficial de Catalunya. Los Catálanes conmemoran la caída de
sus tropas en la Guerra de Sucesión Española en 1714. Hay manifestaciones en
muchos lugares en Catalunya. La manifestación más grande se hace en Barcelona,
donde muchos Catalánes vienen para pedir la independencia de Catalunya y que
sea un estado en Europa. Los Catalánes, para mostrar su orgullo nacional,
cuelgan "senyeres" en las balcones. Podéis ver que, aqui en La Seu
también hay bastantes.
The 11th of
September is the National Day of Catalonia. It commemorates the defeat of the
Catalan troups during the War of the Spanish Succession in 1714. There are independentist demonstrations all over
Catalonia. Many Catalans attend the biggest one in Barcelona, demanding to
become an autonomous state. They show their national pride, and as you can see
there are quite a lot of senyeres, Catalan flags, in the streets of La Seu.
